It’s
my favorite time of the year when the weather cools down and as it winds down I
slowly start to think what the new year will bring. In doing so I’m here to set
my goals and challenges for 2016. This past year I was blessed to read some
amazing books and I exceeded my goals that I set but I thought I would do
things a little different next year. In the past I’ve always done 3-4 challenges plus the Goodreads one as well and while I love doing them I
recently just noticed all the great books I have in my Kindle and on my
bookshelves that I’ve never got to. So here is what I’m planning on doing.
*Scaling back the blog to 4 days a week.
*This
year I’m pulling back, no challenges except the Goodreads one [it counts my progress]
*My
main focus is reading the great books I have and never got to.
*Limiting
my NetGalley/Edelweiss requests to only two books a month.
*Start
and finish at least 4 series I’ve been dying to get to.
*Do
more audiobooks- I LOVE them!
*Read some bios and music related books - these are some of my favorites.
*Read
at least 4 classics this time around.
*Don’t
waste time on books that I’m not into. Time is a precious thing!
*Scale
back my reading goal. I read over 80 this year but I’m aiming for 50 GREAT
reads this year!
**LASTLY**
Relax and enjoy reading again! I'm going back to reading what I love and not just focusing on new releases. Simply devouring a good book with no pressures at all.
That’s
just a small outline on what I want to do. I’m hoping to come up with a list of
books I’m aiming to get to and will be posting it before the new year. Have any
one you thought of your goals yet? If so please share I’d love to hear what you
all have come up with.
Yay for 50 great reads! I also like the idea of only requesting two books per month. Good luck! :)

I get a little book crazy especially when I'm auto approved but I really want to limit it and bring up my NetGalley feedback percentage.
DeleteI'm addicted to audio books! I should actually try to cut back a bit and pick up some actual books for a change haha

Yes, I love the feeling of winter coming! I also don't plan on doing any challenges except for the Goodreads one because I always abandon them by June. I hope you reach all your goals in 2016, especially the one to read and relax!
