Synopsis...
The summer he’s fifteen, Sam enjoys, for a few

in Sam. But Sam’s inability to commit to her or even his own future eventually
drives them apart. In contrast, Bella’s old friend Suzie—and Sam’s older
brother, Michael—seem to have worked it all out, leaving Bella to wonder where
she went wrong.

The Grown Ups explores the indelible bonds between friends and family and the
challenges that threaten to divide them.

This one sounds AMAZING! Plus I love how it takes us through 10 years. I love
seeing how people change over time…for the good or bad.

It does sound interesting, but at the same time I cringe a bit when the same male stereotype of fear of commitment is a staple in the romance scenario. To be fair, I feel jsut as cringeworthy for the women that are always having to find out the mans inability to commit "After: they have conveniently had, and been having sex. "But babe, we are so good together. I like you a lot, what do you want me to say..."
ReplyDeleteBeing a single Father of 8 Daughters (Being a "Southern Girl, you would guess quickly where our antebellum roots are after seeing their names.) I can sympathize with the Mother abandoning the home, and leaving the Father floundering to pick up the pieces, and re-constructing them to adapt to a new lifestyle.
Interesting indeed. And I like the cover, so there! ;-)
