Q:
Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?
A:
I haven’t actually broken up with any series. I tend not to read many too begin
with. I have to really want to read the first book because I feel a series is so
much of a commitment. However sometimes the series is so good you can’t help
but to be drawn in.
Please
feel free to share. You can follow via GFC, email, or bloglovin’. Also feel
free to friend me on Goodreads. Thanks!
I haven't read a lot of series lately. I sometimes feel like all the effort is put into the first book and the series sort of fades after a couple books.
ReplyDeleteNew follower, check out my FF at www.myviewpointonbooks.blogspot.com
Totally agree I hate when that happens!
DeleteHopping through. I read so many series. It's too hard to find stand-alone books. But I know what you mean about a commitment.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Yes most books nowadays are series. They all try to reel you in with the trilogies.
DeleteI don't break up with many either, but for the opposite reason: I generally like series, but am a bit of a completionist. :D Following via GFC and bloglovin'. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMy FF
Series are good but nothing beats the first book.
DeleteLol you're like my sister. She likes to read individual stories because she likes them short and sweet. Series for her especially book 2 kills it for her. I'm the opposite though, I love series because I always want to see where the next adventure lies.
ReplyDeleteLol! I agree with her. Nothing is as good as the first book.
DeleteEverything seems to be a series these days; it's hard to find stand-alone books!

It's very hard but I try and seek them out.
DeleteI read SO MAN series and almost never end up finishing them...not intentionally though!

I know it seems like everything is a series.
DeleteHi! I'm about the opposite. I really love reading new series, though I don't believe I have broken up necessarily with a series.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC Follower and Bloglovin follower!
Sarah @ Bubbly and Bookish
Me either. The few series Ive read Ive finished.
DeleteI start a series and then don't move to book 2....see my FF post. New Bloglovin follower, nice to meet ya! I've lived in the South more than half my life now, do I count as a Southern girl? I don't know, but I love it here and won't move any further north :)

Thanks for following!
DeleteIt seems like every book I read is a series, but I tend to read more paranormal/fantasy, etc. and those usually come in trilogies.
ReplyDeleteHere's my FF.
Yeah I've noticed that. Just started getting into some paranormal myself.
DeleteThanks will do.
