Waiting on Wednesday (WoW) is a weekly event hosted by Jill @
Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week’s WoW feature is:
September Girls by Bennett Madison
Expected publication: May 21, 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen
[Goodreads] When Sam's dad whisks him and his brother off to a remote beach town for the summer, he's all for it-- at first. Sam soon realizes, though, that this place is anything but ordinary. Time seems to slow down around here, and everywhere he looks, there are beautiful blond girls. Girls who seem inexplicably drawn to him.
Then Sam meets DeeDee, one of the Girls, and she's different from the others. Just as he starts to fall for her, she pulls away, leaving him more confused than ever. He knows that if he's going to get her back, he'll have to uncover the secret of this beach and the girls who live here.
I'm a sucker for a great cover and I LOVE this one. I know I shouldnt base my reads on the cover but I admit I sometimes do. However the description does sound good so I'm so gonna check it out.
What's your WoW of the week? Please share.

ReplyDeletethanks for doing the same.
DeleteGood to hear im not alone in this lol
ReplyDeleteI have to say a majority of the books I pick up are due to beautiful covers. Unfortunately not all of those books have beautiful insides, but sometimes they do! The cover was definitely the first thing that sparked my interest in this particular book. Luckily the synopsis sounds good too! I'll cross my fingers that it reads well!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. The cover pulls me in but the story has to sound good also.
